Why Launchpad

Today's college students face a lot of challenges

These are not shortcomings. They are common challenges that come with having more choices and more pressure to make the right decision.

Direction

Finding Real Direction

Big decisions are often shaped by family expectations or peer pressure, simply because college students rarely get structured space to explore what they themselves actually want.

Confidence

Building Real Confidence

Confidence takes more than interview tips. It grows when a college student understands what they are good at and has real examples to support it.

The Gap

Bridging Learning and Life

Launchpad creates space for college students to connect what they are learning with who they are becoming and the choices they will make next.

A Note to Parents

You do not have to choose your child's path. You can help them learn how to choose.

Parents often see their child's potential before the child can put it into words. Launchpad gives college students a structured and professionally facilitated space to understand their strengths, explore possible directions and take ownership of their next step without feeling that they must have their entire future figured out.

Your role remains important. We encourage supportive conversations at home while making sure that the college student's thinking, decisions and action plan remain their own.

What changes

More specific conversations

Instead of 'I don't know,' college students begin explaining what they are good at, what they want to test, and why.

What they leave with

Visible, written outcomes

A validated strengths list, one direction worth testing, a practised personal story and a dated 30 day plan.

How it is delivered

Small group and individual support

Eight live sessions in a cohort of 15 to 20 college students, along with direct one to one time with the facilitator.

What it is not

Not a test that assigns a career

Launchpad does not prescribe one 'correct' profession. It helps college students make a grounded decision and test it through action.

Inside Launchpad

See exactly how it works

A closer look at the programme, what each session feels like, what college students leave with and how to join.

Four waypoints. Eight weeks. One plotted course.

This is not a lecture series. Each module builds on what college students discovered and wrote in the previous one.

WK 01 TO 02

Self Awareness

A clearer picture of who they are, with strengths backed by real examples and feedback from people who know them well.

WK 03 TO 04

Clarity

The fear underneath avoidance gets named; a direction gets chosen because it connects to a real strength, not just excitement.

WK 05 TO 06

Decision & Confidence

Direction becomes a real decision. College students also practise explaining what they chose, why they chose it and what they will do next.

WK 07 TO 08

Real World Readiness

A plan for when things get difficult, one small habit and a dated 30 day action plan built gradually across the programme.

90 to 120 minutes, small groups, one facilitator

Each session follows the same five part rhythm. This helps college students feel comfortable and focus on the work.

01

Arrive

Settle in and begin with a quick check in.

02

Learn It

Learn a useful technique through a clear explanation and a real example.

03

Apply It

Use it on your own life, then share with a partner.

04

Debrief

Real patterns, connected across the room.

05

Write It Down

Something specific and yours to keep.

In eight weeks, reflection leads to a direction and a practical way to test it

01

A validated strengths list

Backed by real moments and feedback from people who know you well.

02

A direction worth testing

Chosen because it connects to what you're good at, not just what sounds exciting.

03

A story told with conviction

Practiced out loud, not just thought about privately.

04

A written 30 day action plan

Dated, specific steps, along with a plan for what to do when things get difficult.

Illustrative Example
Direction to test

Product management because it connects my strengths in listening, organising unclear situations and communicating ideas.

By Day 7

Speak with two product professionals and write down the parts of their work that energise or discourage me.

By Day 18

Complete one beginner product case and ask a mentor or senior college student for specific feedback.

By Day 30

Decide whether to continue testing this direction, change the hypothesis, or explore a closely related role.

This is a fictionalised, anonymised example showing the level of specificity college students work toward. Each college student's plan is different.

Included With Every Cohort

Plus, direct 1:1 time with your facilitator

Alongside the eight weekly group sessions, every college student gets dedicated one to one time with the facilitator. This is a space to talk through a question or challenge that is especially relevant to them. It is included in the programme fee.

Our Commitment

Participation should lead to visible progress.

We believe college students who participate fully will complete Launchpad with greater clarity, stronger confidence, and a practical direction for what comes next. If, after completing the programme, you genuinely feel Launchpad has not delivered on that promise, we would like to speak with you and make it right.

Who is Launchpad for?

Launchpad is for college students in India who want greater clarity about their strengths, direction and next steps, and who are willing to participate actively.

Students can join from any year and any stream, including engineering, commerce, arts and science. The programme focuses on self understanding and decision making, not on any one field or profession.

Is this career counselling or a psychometric test?

No. Launchpad does not prescribe a career or use a test to assign one.

It is a facilitated eight week developmental programme in which college students identify their proven strengths, choose one direction worth testing and leave with a dated 30 day action plan they have written themselves.

How much does Launchpad cost?

Founding Cohort 01 was offered at an inaugural cohort fee of ₹4,000. Pricing for future cohorts will be shared when the next cohort opens.

Is Cohort 01 currently running?

Yes. Founding Cohort 01 began on 5 September 2026 and is now underway.

Future cohort dates will be announced once confirmed.

How do I join a future cohort?

Register your interest using the link on this page. We will contact you when the next cohort dates are confirmed.

Before enrolment, we speak with every prospective participant personally to understand what they are looking for, confirm that Launchpad is the right fit and answer any questions.

What is your refund policy?

Attend the first two sessions and experience the programme. If you genuinely feel that Launchpad is not right for you, let us know and we will refund the programme fee in full.

If you complete the programme with full participation and genuinely feel that it has not helped you build greater clarity, confidence and a direction worth testing, please speak with us. We will listen, understand what has happened and make it right, including offering a refund where that is the fair outcome.

Who facilitates Launchpad?

Launchpad is designed and personally facilitated by Rams Parameswaran, founder of The Evolve Foundation.

Rams spent more than 30 years in leadership roles at global financial institutions, where he hired, coached and developed professionals at different stages of their careers.

Every cohort is limited to 15 to 20 college students so that each participant receives individual attention.

How much work is expected between sessions?

Usually 10 to 15 minutes each week.

It may involve answering one question, having one conversation or taking one small action in the real world. The intention is to help students reflect and apply what they learn, not to make it feel like homework.

What if a student is introverted?

Sharing is never forced.

Sessions combine individual reflection, pair conversations and voluntary group discussion, allowing different personalities to participate comfortably.

What if a student misses a session?

We provide the essential technique, a worked example and the relevant reflection prompt so that one absence does not prevent a student from continuing with the cohort.

Are sessions recorded?

Personal group discussions are generally not recorded. This gives students the space to speak honestly and participate comfortably.

Students are also asked to respect the privacy of others in the cohort and not repeat personal stories outside the sessions.

We collect only the information needed to administer and deliver the programme. Personal information is not sold. Any student story, testimonial or example used publicly will require explicit permission and will be anonymised where appropriate.

Do parents attend the sessions?

No. The sessions are the student's space, which is important for honest reflection and independent thinking.

Parents receive a short note at the beginning explaining the programme and how they can support the process. Students also leave with clear, written outcomes that they can naturally share and discuss at home.

Meet the Founder

Experience showed me that knowing yourself matters.

For nearly 30 years, Rams Parameswaran built and led technology organisations across the United States and India, working with global financial institutions including Citigroup, Bank of America, BNY Mellon and Fiserv.

Throughout his career, he hired, coached and mentored professionals and saw the same pattern repeatedly: those who thrived understood their strengths, could explain their choices with confidence and took ownership of their direction.

Rams founded The Evolve Foundation to help young people develop that self-understanding earlier.
